Frequently asked questions

What people ask before working with DGT.

Straight answers on what we do, who we advise, what we have delivered and how to engage us.

What does DGT Solutions do?

DGT Solutions is a specialist advisory firm for central banks and payment system operators. We advise on national payment system strategy and oversight, the design and procurement of RTGS, CSD and instant payment systems, overlay services, scheme rules, national QR code standards, and CBDC and cross-border integration. See our expertise for the full scope.

Who does DGT advise?

Central banks, payment system operators, regulators and the World Bank. Our specialists have worked in 50+ countries across five continents; the Global Experience page lists every market and the type of work delivered there.

How much RTGS and CSD experience does DGT have?

DGT has delivered 25+ RTGS modernisation projects. RTGS work includes the United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Canada, Egypt, Uganda, Namibia and South Africa, among others. CSD work includes the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Romania.

What is DGT’s experience with instant payments and overlay services?

DGT has supported 20+ instant payment implementations, from scheme design and RFP preparation to implementation support. Overlay services are the value-added services built on top of an instant payment system’s core clearing and settlement, such as request to pay and QR code payments. See the Global Experience page for the markets involved.

Does DGT draft scheme rules and national QR code standards?

Yes. DGT has delivered 15+ scheme rules engagements, including in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Barbados and the Maldives, and 15+ national QR code standards, including in Albania, Barbados, the Maldives and Palestine.

Can DGT advise on CBDC and cross-border payments?

Yes. DGT advises on domestic, cross-border, retail and wholesale CBDC and on regional integration of market infrastructures. Engagements include CBDC scheme rules in the United Arab Emirates, advisory support for the live CBDC implementation in Uruguay, and cross-border scheme rules drafting in Singapore.

Is DGT independent of payment system vendors?

Yes. DGT does not sell, resell or receive commission on any payment platform, so build-or-buy recommendations and RFP support have no side that benefits from a particular outcome.

Who are the people behind DGT?

DGT was co-founded by Claudio Ceresani, Elize Jackson and Camilla Venter, Financial Market Infrastructure Global Advisors and subject-matter experts who have worked together for more than fifteen years. See the Team page for their backgrounds.

How can we engage DGT?

There are three ways: embedded subject-matter support inside your programme team, independent quality assurance of a vendor’s or integrator’s work, or end-to-end advisory from current-state analysis and business case through RFP management to go-live. Contact us to discuss your programme.

How do I contact DGT?
